Description
They have been neighbor for generations....dating back to their great grand parents in Swatow, China. They arrived here in search for a better life in the late 19th. Century....
when China was embroiled in anarchy arising from feudalism and with local magistrates exercising powers masquerading that very influence as the extension of powers from the Empress Dowager.
They came to settle on this coastal retreat ....became fishermen...set up families and homes...raised children to become responsible citizens making meaningful contribution to the nation buildings of their adopted country.
The neighbor’s children are more world wisely ....with few of them working as professionals in the U.S and United Kingdom....while the remaining siblings are running successful electrical and hardwares retails in the city.
Their parent’s chose to remain in the old house.......despite the children’s repeated plea for their parents to stay with one of them in the city...so that they will be well cared for.............they remain adamant.
I met them when I was there.......they were very happy and contended.......the Seah elders are in their early eighties.

This is very interesting! Do good walls make good neighbors? Apparently, building good relationship with them does. Despite what Robert Frost authored, great fences don't make great neighbors.
